Old Masters

An exceptional selection of Old Master prints by visionaries such as Rembrandt van Rijn and Albrecht Dürer is led by the latter’s engraving Melencolia I, 1514. Further masterworks include prints by Francisco José de Goya, Giovanni B. Piranesi and Martin Schongauer

Edward Hopper’s exquisite East Side Interior, an intimate scene that exemplifies the artist’s skill, leads the modern section, alongside nineteenth-century highlights that include works by masters Mary Cassatt and James A. M. Whistler. Pablo Picasso etchings from the 1930s and linoleum cuts from the 1960s, along with choice prints by Salvador Dalí, Henri Matisse and Joan Miró, complete the offerings
